Tingi Tindahan is a community-based refill store in Barangay Potrero, a community of 40,000 residents that has been working towards becoming zero-waste since 2014. The project operates alongside a local network of 80 waste workers who collect segregated household waste and divert biodegradables from landfills. It serves as a low-cost, sustainable model to help residents save money while reducing single-use plastics.
